John D. Marshall


John Marshall is an experienced Business Development Executive with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth and effective growth strategies in many business environments. Prior to joining Profitable Wisdom, John spent the last 30 years developing the critical skills needed to assist in the growth and increased profitability of several multi-location, multi-national companies. John’s market oriented business background in the agricultural equipment, construction equipment and other industries has enabled him to move comfortably into senior positions in sales and marketing, product development, strategic planning and dealer development.

In 1988, along with two colleagues, John began purchasing companies in a multitude of business areas such as construction, heavy equipment, machining, sports marketing and others that eventually grew to a group of nine companies and employing over 200 people. In 2008, the group began transitioning the companies to others “to the next generation” through their sale to employee groups or to other interests. John and his colleagues successfully sold their last company in 2015 through its transition to the children of one of the partners.

John Marshall brings to Profitable Wisdom many years of experience in successfully improving the companies under his ownership or under the ownership of some of North America’s premier manufacturers.
